Calling all therapists and researchers. Ever wondered if different mindfulness modalities result in different (mental) outcomes..?
Well, a recent clinical study funded by the National Institutes of Health explored this question by researching two well-established modalities: "The Relaxation Response" and MBSR.
The lead author (Gunes Sevinc) uses a the analogy of weightlifting vs aerobic exercise to compare the two techniques: "...both are beneficial, but each has its unique mechanism and contribution.”
