OK… We already know (or experienced) the fact that ASMR can induce ‘brain tingles’… But, does it REALLY provide and benefits to our brains..?

#8 : When You Can’t Book Your Bridal Shower in Las Vegas…

The ‘Mehndi’ is a pre-wedding ceremony in Hindu culture where women (and men) come together and use ink to adorn their bodies with elaborate designs (think “henna tattoo”)… But like most gatherings, people egos and issues can often create stress and judgement.

That’s why Zainab Mohiuddin is hosting Mindful Mehndis – an event that aims to create a true community atmosphere by incorporating mindful practices like EFT…

#2 : The Cure To Loneliness
Is Just A Call Away…

Research from Carnegie Mellon University provides interesting twist on the current wave of mindfulness studies. 153 participants used smartphone-based guided mindfulness apps over a 2-week period but were separated into three groups.

One group recieved mindful monitoring AND acceptance training (e.g. learning to say “Yes” to pain) while the other two groups either recieved mindfulness monitoring training or no training at all…

The results showed that the first group “…reduced daily life loneliness by 22 percent and increased social contact by an average of two interactions each day.”

#1 : When Your Guru Claims To Be “Only Human”, Believe Him..!

Back in the day… Susan Shumsky served as personal staff to (arguably) the world’s most famous meditation teacher – Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Today, she’s the author of “Maharishi & Me: Seeking Enlightenment with the Beatles’ Guru” which has a BOATLOAD of revelations about The Beatles as well as the person they briefly called “guru”.

A Parting Thought

“We tend to think of meditation in only one way.
But life itself is a meditation.”

– Raul Julia
